Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspection
Buying a vehicle? Get an expert, unbiased opinion before you commit.
I provide independent pre-sale vehicle inspections across prescribed post code areas of England and Wales. I’m not connected to any dealer, manufacturer, auction site or warranty provider — my assessment is completely impartial and focused solely on the vehicle’s condition.
Each inspection is a thorough visual, non-invasive assessment of the vehicle on the day of inspection. This typically includes bodywork, interior condition, visible engine components, underside checks (where safely accessible), and a basic diagnostic scan where agreed.
You’ll receive a clear, easy-to-understand written report, usually with photographs, highlighting condition, concerns and key points to consider — helping you make a confident, informed decision.
No jargon. No sales agenda. Just professional, independent advice.

ECU Module Diagnostic Code Scan Report £10 - Modern vehicles are equipped with an extensive network of sensors and electronic control units (ECUs) or modules, monitoring and controlling a wide range of complicated electrical components and circuits. If an ECU detects an unexpected response from a circuit that it’s either controlling or monitoring, it will create and store a DTC (diagnostic trouble code). Some of these DTCs will simply be stored within an ECU as ‘historic’, if the issue is only detected on a single occasion, and the system returns to normal operation. However, some will remain as ‘present’ or ‘permanent’ codes, if the issue remains ‘live’, and frequently this indicates a fault requiring investigation and repair. Example Report 1 Example Report 2
Paint Depth Scan Report £25 - This service and the subsequent report provides details of the total thickness of refinish (paint) material, that exists on aluminium and steel panels, including internal panels (where accessible, without removal of trims or fittings). While there is no specific vehicle-by-vehicle original finish specification available, due to variable factors such as material, colour, application process etc., typically original refinish thickness will range between 70 and 180 microns. In scanning the outer and inner panels of an entire vehicle, it will highlight inconsistencies, which could indicate areas of excessive previous polishing (perhaps leaving the outer clearcoat or lacquer coat very thin), or where previous repairs and/or repainting have been completed. Digital Vehicle History Report £8 - Utilising the services of a third party provider, this ‘Gold level’ report provides vehicle details such as: outstanding finance, previous taxi use, theft registration, write-off/salvage history, previous private/cherished registrations, V5 history, MOT history etc. Example Report 1 Example Report 2
EV Battery ‘state-of-health’ Report £45 - Partnering with ‘Generational’, this report provides a ‘state-of-health’ certificate, in relation to the high voltage battery fitted to battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). Pre-Lease Completion Vehicle Inspection
Avoid surprises when returning your leased vehicle.
I provide independent pre-lease completion inspections across prescribed post code areas of England and Wales. I’m not affiliated with any leasing company, finance provider or dealership — my assessment is entirely impartial and focused on your interests.
A pre-lease inspection helps you understand your vehicle’s condition before handover. I identify damage that may fall outside fair wear and tear guidelines and highlight areas that could result in end-of-lease charges — giving you the opportunity to make informed decisions before return.
The inspection is a thorough visual, non-invasive assessment and typically includes bodywork, wheels, glass, interior trim, tyres, dashboard warnings and (where agreed) a basic diagnostic scan. You’ll receive a clear written report, usually with photographs, outlining key findings in straightforward language.
While I can’t control the final decision made by your leasing company, I provide honest, professional guidance to help you prepare with confidence.

Post-Repair Vehicle Inspection
Had repairs carried out on your vehicle? Get independent reassurance on the quality of the work.
I provide impartial post-repair vehicle inspections across prescribed post codes areas of England and Wales. I’m not affiliated with any bodyshop, repairer, insurer, accident management company or manufacturer — my assessment is completely independent and focused solely on your vehicle.
A post-repair inspection evaluates the visible quality, completeness and standard of the work carried out. I assess paint finish, panel alignment, trim refit, related interior areas, warning lights and — where agreed — carry out a basic diagnostic scan.
You’ll receive a clear, written report, normally supported by photographs, outlining my findings in straightforward language. This gives you an objective professional opinion and highlights any areas that may require further attention.
While this is a visual, non-invasive inspection and not a dismantling or structural certification service, it provides valuable clarity and peace of mind following repairs.

Independent Vehicle De-Fleet Consulting for Corporate Fleets & Leasing Companies
I provide practical, hands-on vehicle de-fleet consulting for corporate fleets and leasing companies that need a structured, efficient, and commercially sound exit process.
As an independent consultant, my focus is simple: protect asset value, reduce risk, and ensure vehicles are removed from service in a controlled and financially optimised way.
What I Do
Structured De-Fleet Planning
I assess your fleet position, contract timelines, and operational requirements to build a clear and workable de-fleet plan. The objective is to minimise disruption while maintaining control over timing and asset value.
Market-Focused Disposal Strategy
Each vehicle is positioned in the right sales channel based on age, condition, mileage, and market demand. Whether through auction, trade buyers, or bulk transactions, the approach is driven by return and speed.
Operational Coordination
From inspections and condition reporting to logistics and documentation, I manage the practical process so internal teams are not burdened with additional workload.
Lease & Compliance Oversight
For leasing companies and corporate clients, I ensure lease terminations, title transfers, and regulatory requirements are handled accurately and efficiently.
Cost & Risk Control
Depreciation, storage costs, penalties, and administrative exposure can quickly erode returns. My role is to identify and mitigate these risks early in the process.
Why Work With an Independent Consultant?
Objective, commercially driven advice
No tied sales channels or conflicts of interest
Clear reporting and transparent processes
Direct accountability from start to finish
De-fleeting can be complex, particularly when volumes are high or timelines are tight. My role is to bring structure, control, and operational clarity to what is often an underestimated process.
